Major Major - a mailing list manager |
|
Major
Major is a mailing list manager
for OS/2. It lets you create
multiple
mailing lists on your machine. People subscribe to these lists by
mailing
a "subscribe" command to Major Major. (There is also an "unsubscribe"
command.) You can also subscribe/unsubscribe people in your role as
system manager.
To make this work, you have to be able to create e-mail accounts. You need one e-mail account for Major Major itself, plus one per list that you host. This means that you need to have access to an e-mail server. You can install an e-mail server such as Weasel on your own computer. Alternatively, you can use the e-mail server of your ISP or other mail provider, and ask that provider to create the appropriate accounts. If you want to see Major Major working in practice, you can join the Major Major discussion list. The way to do this is to send mail to majormajor@os2voice.org with a message saying subscribe majormajor-list Read the manualRead the manual in [ English | Swedish ]DownloadThe latest version of this software is at ftp://ftp.pmoylan.org/Major/. |
